The big PR

Projekt Revolution was this past Saturday. It was a great day. But I must say this, Tampa Bay music fans, as a crowd, you're not all that rowdy. I know, who can mosh to The Bravery? Or Chris Cornell? But in my day, I've seen destructive Linkin Park pits. This year during LP's performance at PR, I did not see one pit in the lawn. Even last year had its moments of chaos breaking out. Now, I'm not saying go beat each other up at concerts, but let loose when "Faint" blasts through the speakers. Can't you feel the energy emanating from the stage when you hear Chester Bennington's loud, minute long screams?

I began noticing this at last year's PR. I went to the West Palm Beach show and the Tampa show. In WPB, the crowd was a lot crazier. There was even a pit during My Chemical Romance's "Cancer". Now that was hilarious, a pit to a soft ballad about death. During LP, the crowd lost it, and it bordered on dangerous at the lawn. The following day, I went to the same show in Tampa, and it was nothing like that. People were a lot more calm. And though it was kind of nice chilling out actually watching a show, it didn't feel much like a "revolution".

So, here's my advice. At any live show, when ever you feel like moving, move. Others feel the same, and if you start it off, they won't feel like they look stupid when they're jumping around. What do you have to loose? By the end of a day long concert, we all look horrible, smell horrible, and have made fools of our selves countless times through out the day.
